AFA (Art For All Society) is a non-profitable art organization established in 2007 in Macau. Our objectives are to enhance the development of Macau contemporary art, to facilitate local art creations as well as to assist the Macau SAR Government with the development of local cultural undertakings. Our head office is currently located on the Estrada da Areia Preta No. 52, Edificio da Fabrica de Baterias N.E. National, 10th Floor. Aside from the exhibition space, there are 6 studios for artists with a total area of 500 square meters. Besides organizing the solo exhibition of Macau artists monthly, we also exhibit more than 600 pieces of artworks, including painting, photography, sculpture, print-making and video from more than 30 representative and dynamic Macau contemporary artists. Our aim is to provide a stable creative environment so as to encourage more artists to devote themselves in art creation. At the same time, by organizing solo exhibitions, we promote our artists' works and try to introduce their works to the art market.

In order to introduce Macau Arts to Mainland China and to build an art exchange platform between Macau and Beijing, we set up a branch, AFA Beijing, in October 2008. The three-stored space of AFA Beijing is located at 798 Art Zone. In addition to the showroom, a section is designated for retailing cultural and creative products, books and original music. Moreover, in order to encourage artist from Macau and overseas to interchange and create artworks in Beijing, AFA also have artist-in-residence program which enable more Macau artists to create their works during their short stay in Beijing.

AFA also bring the local artworks to the exhibition in other countries, such as April, 2011, AFA presented 30 pieces of contemporary artworks from 20 Macau artists at Oriental Museum in Lisbon, Portugal. AFA also participated in the international art fairs held in China and overseas, including Japan, New York, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai, aims to form a healthy market for the development of cultural industries and enable more potential art workers to develop their art career so as to pay an effort to the development of Macau arts. Until now, AFA had held 59 exhibitions of works by Macau artists in AFA Macau, Beijing and overseas.

AFA also established an art scholarship program to encourage and support young artists in Macau to continue their study in Mainland China or abroad so as to foster more excellent local arts practitioners. Heading toward the future, AFA will continue to focus on the development of contemporary art, which includes painting, installation, photography, sculpture, multimedia and so forth and continue to organize high-quality solo exhibitions of Macau artists and cooperate with artists from Mainland China in joint exhibitions so as to complement Macau SAR Government's plan on the development of cultural industries.
