The opening of "By Light of the Moon - Works by Hong Wai" was such a great success held in AFA at Tak Chun Macau Art Garden on October 31 (Thursday). On that day, lots of honorable guests have come to support the exhibition, including the representative of the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government Ms.Leong,  President of the Macau Artist Society Mr LOK Hei, Director of Macao Delegation of Orient Foundation Ms. Ana Paula CLETO, Assistant Vice President of Tak Chun Group Ms. Eugenia IP, Representative of Trust Const & Invest Co. Ltd Ms. Kelly Wong, Director of Art For All Society Lai Sio Kit etc., the exhibition hall was so crowded that it filled with lots of guests and artist, it was such a great time to have fun and enjoy the moment.

 
Opening ceremony

Since an early age, Hong Wai was attracted by the oriental aesthetic of Chinese Ink Art. Later in her life she started to travel around from Macau to Taiwan and then to France. Perhaps, her rebellious genes must meet the French revolutionary soil. There are mainly two series of artworks for Hong Wai solo exhibition, which are “Feminine Landscape" and "Moonlight Series". “Feminine Landscape", is a declaration of feminism in traditional Chinese ink painting. After a long period of time painting strokes of the lace pattern weaved on the paper, Hong Wai wanted to return to Nature. Her latest work,"Moonlight Series", is a removal of concept. Using the composition of photography to freeze the elements of nature, and then slowly and leisurely, she continues to do what she likes the most: painting, by the light of the moon.

"By Light of the Moon - Works by Hong Wai" was opened on 31 October 2019 18:30 on AFA。The exhibition is partly sponsored by the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Macao SAR Government. Media partners include Hoje Macau and Ponto Final. The exhibition will be opened to public from 1 November to 5 December 2019.
